The Troost Plateau neighborhood is the vibrant community in the heart of Kansas City, MO positioned between 54th Street to the north, 59th Street to the south, Troost Ave to the west and The Paseo Blvd to the east.
The Troost Plateau Neighborhood Association is a non-partisan voluntary association whose purpose is to nurture development of a safe, stable, attractive, and diverse community where all members flourish. Together we work together to foster a safe and welcoming neighborhood where all people, families, pets, and friends can live, work, learn, and play! We are proud members of the 49/63 Neighborhood Coalition and part of the city of Kansas City's network of neighborhood associations.
We believe in being good neighbors to all—across backgrounds, statuses, and species—while firmly rejecting threats or behavior that compromise the safety and well‑being of our community.
We're proud of the diversity of people who call Troost Plateau home including homeowners, renters, visitors, and more. If you're here, we're neighbors!
Spend a beautiful day enjoying in one of our many open spaces, including the Ann Lyons Friendship Park and the Tracy Community Garden.
Our neighborhood is home to vibrant businesses including much loved restaurants, service providers, shopping, and more!
We enjoy partnership with our neighbor to the north, Rockhurst University. We are also proud home to the Frontiers School of Excellence.
Troost Plateau Neighborhood Association is led by a board of directors. Any person, group, or business with an address within the neighborhood area is welcome to join as a member. There are no membership fees or dues.
The Association meets quarterly in January, April, July and October, with voting for board members occurring at the October meeting annually. The board and members work together to organize social events and conduct projects and activities that help advance our mission.
